春の桜と600度

Spring cherry blossoms and 600 degrees

In Tokyo, the cherry blossoms were declared to have bloomed on White Day, the day before yesterday.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said, "This is the earliest announcement of cherry blossom blooming in the country, 10 days earlier than average, and tied with 2020 and 2021 as the earliest blooming since statistics began being kept."

Yesterday, when I walked around the neighborhood of my office in Nagatacho, I found them in bloom. Here and there. I went back again today to check the area and found that there were even more flowers.

There is a rule that the Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms will start blooming when the total accumulated temperature from February 1st of each year reaches 600 degrees Celsius.

According to Weather News

The mechanism behind cherry blossom blooming

Cherry blossom buds form in the summer of the year before they bloom. They go into a dormant state from autumn to winter so that they do not grow, and spend the year in that state. After being exposed to sufficient low temperatures, they wake up from dormancy when the temperature rises sharply. This is called "breaking dormancy."
Flowering forecasts made by weather information companies and the like use the date on which dormancy is broken as the starting date, add up the number of temperature conversion days, and predict that the flowering date will be the day when a set number of days is reached for each location.

An easy way to make predictions yourself

Even without such a formal method, you can easily predict the approximate blooming of cherry blossoms in Tokyo by using a procedure called the "600°C rule." The procedure is quite simple.

[600℃ Law]
Flowering will occur when the total daily maximum temperature after February 1st reaches 600 degrees.

In other words, if we assume that February 1st is the day the cherry blossoms break dormancy and set it as the starting point for predicting when they will bloom, then we can simply add up the maximum temperatures for each day from that point onwards to predict when the cherry blossoms will bloom.

It's easy to understand.

The same goes for studying, work experiences, and skin care, as the saying goes that things blossom from daily efforts. Rome wasn't built in a day.

A long time ago, a senior in business taught me that 10,000 hours of experience will give you a certain amount of experience. Divided by 8 hours, that's 1,250 days, which is 54 months if you divide it by about 23 working days. Divided by 12 months, that's 4.5 years. Divided by 10 or 12 hours, it's like saying, it takes three years to get used to something.

If possible, I would like to enjoy the warm spring weather while watching the flower buds. After washing your face in the morning and before using an electric shaver, shave comfortably with GA Cosmetics' all-in-one gel to prevent razor burn.

After your evening bath, apply it to your entire face as a moisturizer. It also feels great to apply generously to your hands, neck, etc.

Cherry blossom viewing season will be from the latter half of this week to next week. It's early, so early.

So, I hope you all enjoy spring.
